Integrity  Public Trust Accountability Affordability

These are not campaign slogans—they are the values that have guided my family, my career, my business, and my lifelong commitment to public service.
I believe leadership is about listening first, making responsible decisions, respecting taxpayers, protecting public trust, and always putting residents before politics.
That is the commitment I have lived throughout my life.
That is the commitment I will bring as your Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

I was born and raised in Bradford West Gwillimbury, and I am proud to call this community home. I attended local schools, played soccer on our local fields, worked on area farms, and built lifelong friendships through family, community, and hard work. Those experiences shaped my values and gave me a deep appreciation for the people, traditions, and character that make Bradford West Gwillimbury such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

For over three decades, my life has been dedicated to serving others—first in law enforcement, then in business, education, and community service. Throughout my career, I have led people, managed budgets, solved complex problems, and been entrusted with significant responsibility. Those experiences have prepared me to lead our municipality with integrity, accountability, and respect for every taxpayer.

In 1990, I began a career of public service by joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Over the next 28 years, I served throughout British Columbia's Lower Mainland before returning to Ontario in 2000. Through dedication, leadership, and performance, I earned three promotions and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

During my policing career, I held positions of increasing responsibility, supervising investigative teams and leading specialized units responsible for complex Organized Crime, National Security, and Corruption investigations at both the national and international levels. I managed personnel, budgets, procurement, fleet operations, operational planning, and specialized investigations where sound judgment, integrity, and accountability were essential.

Leadership meant far more than directing investigations. I was responsible for mentoring employees, ensuring training and professional development, managing workplace conflict, addressing performance and disciplinary matters, maintaining health and safety standards, and building strong, accountable teams. I learned that successful organizations depend on clear leadership, open communication, and people who are empowered to succeed.

As a senior RCMP officer, I was entrusted with significant authorities and responsibilities, including overseeing operational budgets, approving expenditures and overtime, managing specialized investigative authorities, and reviewing Operational Security Plans, including those involving Foreign Heads of State. Every decision required careful financial management, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public resources.

Throughout my career, I worked alongside police services, government agencies, foreign security officials, and community partners representing many different cultures and nationalities. Those experiences reinforced the importance of listening, building relationships, earning trust, and working collaboratively to solve difficult problems.

During my policing career, I also briefly served with York Regional Police in frontline policing. While there, I was honoured with the Chief of Police Award after saving the life of a woman in crisis—an experience that strengthened my lifelong commitment to serving others with compassion, professionalism, and respect.

My commitment to public service has also been recognized internationally. In 2013, I was invested in Assisi, Italy, as a Cavalieri per la Pace (Knight for Peace) in recognition of my commitment to community service and public safety. During that same period, I received the Bronze Medal from the Order of St. George at the Vatican, followed several years later by the Silver Medal in Toronto for continued public service and contributions to the community.

Following my retirement from policing, I continued serving the community through business and entrepreneurship. Since 2013, I have owned and operated a residential property restoration company focused on revitalizing older homes and improving neighbourhoods through responsible investment and redevelopment.

In 2018, I founded Si2 Investigations Inc., providing investigative and protective security services to corporate clients across Ontario. Building and operating a successful business has strengthened my understanding of budgeting, strategic planning, customer service, fiscal responsibility, and delivering results while carefully managing costs—skills that are equally important in municipal government.

My commitment to public service continued beyond policing. From 2019 to 2023, I served as a Community Member of the Ontario Judicial Council, helping maintain public confidence in Ontario's justice system. I also taught Protective Security as a Casual Professor at Seneca College from 2022 to 2024, preparing future security professionals by sharing practical leadership, investigative, and risk management experience gained over nearly three decades of policing.

In the 2022 municipal election, I ran for Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Since then, I have remained actively involved in municipal affairs by attending Council meetings, researching municipal issues, helping residents navigate local government, and advocating for transparency, accountability, affordability, and responsible growth.

Over the past several years, I have devoted hundreds of volunteer hours to understanding how our municipality operates, reviewing Council decisions, researching legislation, and helping residents ensure their voices are heard at Town Hall.

I believe effective leadership begins with listening, making informed decisions, and never forgetting who you work for.

Above all, I am a husband, father, and proud member of this community. My wife and I have been married for more than 32 years, and together we proudly raised our two sons here in Bradford West Gwillimbury. Our family dog, Max, continues to keep us active, entertained, and occasionally on our toes.

My faith is also an important part of my life. As a member of Holy Martyrs of Japan Parish, I believe in the values of faith, honesty, compassion, service, and personal responsibility.

Today, Bradford West Gwillimbury faces important decisions. Residents deserve a Mayor who understands leadership, financial responsibility, accountability, and the importance of earning the public's trust. My experience leading people, managing public resources, overseeing budgets, building successful organizations, and serving this community has prepared me to meet those challenges.

Throughout my life, three principles have guided every decision I have made:

Integrity. Accountability. Affordability.
